Indian Police,
Gowerment of India have now replied as follows:
The Government of India have no information regarding the number of Indian Policemen in Hong Kong Police now on leave in India nor when and in what cipoumstances they came bere. There is no ban on Indians of classes other thań unskilled labourers departing from India to any place abroad but Government of India do not wish to associate themselves in any way with encouragement of employment of Indians as policemen in countries outside India. They regret, therefore, that they must refuse to be parties to any arrangements fop early return to Hong Kong of former membors of Hong Kong Police and cannot in any case agree to send ing of officers to India Zor organising their return.
